North to the Pole 40 Years Later

Celebrate the 40th anniversary of what National Geographic deemed an “historic landmark in polar exploration.”  Join Will Steger, Ann Bancroft, Paul Schurke & other members of the 1986 Steger International Polar Expedition: 

 

–ELY,  Ely Historic State Theater, 6:30-10pm Friday, October 9, first ever showing on the big screen of National Geographic’s “North to the Pole!” documentary followed by stories and Q&A with the team PLUS concert and dance party with the northland’s best bluegrass band: Stony River. Tickets available soon at www.elystatetheater.org   All proceeds benefit the theater — for its 90th anniversary year!  (The team will also host a community luncheon talk 12-1:15 Oct 9 at Grand Ely Lodge)
